ATLAS Design & Engineering, Inc. is one of the leading multi-disciplined engineering companies in SW Florida. Since 2009 we have provided civil, structural, mechanical (HVAC), electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering services to the residential, commercial and institutional construction industry in Collier, Lee, Charlotte and Sarasota counties.
Our Civil and Structural Design Team is led by Mr. Tao Wang, PE.
Mr. Wang received his Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in both civil and structural. Mr. Wang has functioned as a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer and amassed long term of civil/structural design & engineering, project management and construction as a consultant. Mr. Wang has domestic and international experience in design, analysis and construction experience with residential, commercial, industrial buildings, construction defect investigations, construction conflict resolution and value engineering of residential and commercial building structures as well as earth work and drainage system. As a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer, Mr. Wang provided clients with a full suite of civil/structural engineering and permit managing services, including preparations of civil/structural design drawings and specifications also supporting engineering analysis and engineering calculations. Additionally, Mr. Wang is recognizes as an expert of 3D modelling and engineering programming.
​Mr. Ed Wei is our General Manager. Ed is a principal structural engineer and CSA discipline lead with 28 years of experience in the engineering design and construction management of industrial projects across Oil & Gas, Mining, High Voltage Power Transmission, Infrastructure and Manufacturing. Ed has extensive knowledge and experience in debottlenecking/expansion for existing facilities. He has Know-how technical skills, project execution performance and excellent track records of safety with results-oriented working style have been recognized by employers and clients.
Mr. Sven Budzisch is our Director of Operations. Sven has a variety of civil, structural & mechanical design and engineering experiences in the commercial, retail, residential, industrial, institutional, chemical and power plant building sectors. A KEEP-IT-SIMPLE Design mission is always implemented through a rigorous engineering development process while addressing the project requirements, clients needs and specific wishes. Our engineering services are well-balanced, sensible and follow accepted, proven industry standards and Florida Building Code rules.

MEP equipment selection focuses on the everchanging lighting, emergency generators, plumbing and HVAC products of several manufacturers that result in economical, safe and reliable operations. Our well-matched system designs provide superior, comfortable environments and adhere to indoor air quality objectives and the latest Florida Energy Conservation requirements through selection of enhanced performance products which achieve real Value that surpass minimun code requirements.

Our companies integrated design schedules are formulated to be as responsive as possible. Our multi-tasking efforts are prioritized to the clients needs, which include Tenant Improvement activities, along with small and large construction projects covering many construction types and building features.
Our experienced support staff and seasoned design team members enable us to perform all aspects of engineering design. The majority of our work comes from repeat clients who are satisfied with getting their jobs done with accuracy, under budget, and on time. We have developed symbiotic relationships with other design professionals, and those relationships have made our firm grow stronger as a whole. We work closely with contractors and inspectors to get the job done for residential additions or remodels, tenant infills, to large scale commercial buildings.
ATLAS Design & Engineering is a proud recipient of multiple Summit Awards for outstanding engineering designs in SW Florida. The Summit Awards were created by the Commercial Contractors Council of the BIA in 2006 and provide an opportunity to recognize and celebrate excellence in the commercial building industry. This unique local awards program pays tribute to the Building Industry Association members who have obtained an outstanding level of success and professionalism in commercial building, planning and design.
